ベースライン調査は２００２年に実施された。
１） 久慈地域の６市町村のうちの４市町村、久慈の南に隣接した宮古地域の７市町村のうちの３町村を選択した。そして、２０歳から７９歳までの７３１７名を７市町村の住民台帳から無作為に抽出した。２００２年の１月から３月に実施された。
２） 久慈地域と宮古地域のすべての医師と看護師を抽出した。２００２年５月から６月に実施した。

介入ご調査は２００４年に実施された。
３） 死亡者、転居者を除くベースライン調査の対象者を抽出した。２００４年５～７月に実施した。

A baseline Questionnaire survey was carried out in 2002.
1) We selected four of six municipalities in the Kuji District, and three of seven municipalities in the Miyako District, which is located south of the Kuji Districts. A total of 7317 people, aged 20 to 79 years, were randomly selected from the Basic Resident Register of each of the seven municipalities. The survey was carried out from January through March in 2002.
2) We selected both all doctors and all nurses in Kuji district and Miyako district. The survey was carried out from May through June in 2002.

A Questionnaire survey after intervention was carried out in 2004.
1) We selected a total of 5453 people as subjects except the dead and moving people. The survey was carried out from May through July in 2004.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria
