目的1/Narrative objectives1

日本語
高齢者はしばしば易怒性/攻撃性を呈して精神科外来を受診する。このような患者では、他の症状を呈する患者に比べて本人や介護者にとってきわめて負担が極めて大きいことが知られている。近年、易怒性/攻撃性を示す認知症患者と双極性障害との類似性が注目され始め、こういった患者ではむしろ気分安定薬が奏功する可能性がある。これらの患者における躁症状の頻度と気分安定薬の効果を明らかにする。

Elderly patients often present with aggression,which is known to increase burden for themselves and their caregivers.Recently similarity between elderly patients with aggression and with bipolar disorder,and mood stabilizer may be effective in this population. The study aims to clarify prevalence of manic symptoms in the elderly patients presenting with aggression and efficacy of mood stabilizer.

易怒性・攻撃性を呈する高齢者を対象に、初診時に躁症状を評価する。その後、必要があれば気分安定薬を投与しその効果を観察する。効果に関与する因子を解析する。

Maanic symptoms are evaluated in elderly patients presenting with aggression at their first visit to our hospital. Mood stabilizers are used as needed. Factors affecting the efficacy of mood stabilizer are analyzed.
