炭素イオン線治療：1日1回、合計12回、治療期間は3週。1回3.6GyE,総線量43.2GyEを開始線量とし、安全性と有効性を確認しながら線量増加を行う。

選択基準/Key inclusion criteria

日本語
1.組織学的に確認された胸部食道扁平上皮癌である。
2.病期がⅠ期（T1bN0M0）である。進行度は食道癌取扱い規約 (第10版)に基づいて診断する。
3.内視鏡で治療効果の評価が可能な病変である。
4.年齢は80才以下である。
5.PSが0-2である。
6.本人に病名・病態の告知がなされており、かつ本人に同意能力がある。

1.Histologically proven squamous cell carcinoma of the thoracic esophagus
2.Clinical stage I (T1bN0M0) according to the Japanese classification of esophageal cancer (10th edition)
3.Measurable lesion
4.Age of 80 years or younger
5.Performance status between 0 and 2
6.Written informed consent

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
1.食道病変が8cmを超える
2.食道壁内転移を有する
3.当該食道癌に対する前治療歴がある
4.当該照射部位に放射線治療の既往がある
5.活動性の重複癌を有する
6.照射領域に活動性で難治性の感染を有する
7.医学的、心理学的または他の要因により不適当と判断される
