選択基準/Key inclusion criteria

1. 片側の胸腔鏡手術または胸腔鏡補助下開胸術を受ける患者
2. American Society of Anesthesiologistsクラス分類1～3
3. 参加について、患者本人から文書で同意が得られている

1. Patients undergoing a unilateral video-assisted surgery
2. American Society of Anesthesiologists PS: 1-3
3. Written informed consent is provided

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
1. 意思疎通が難しい場合（認知症患者、精神発達遅滞患者、日本語を解さない者など）
2. 20歳未満または80歳以上の患者
3. カテーテル刺入部近く（2cm以内）にまで及ぶ後側方開胸が必要な患者
4. 超音波で傍脊椎腔の観察が困難な患者
5. 体重が40kg未満の患者
6. 局所麻酔薬やイオヘキソール造影剤に対してアレルギーがある患者
7. 術前から体幹の感覚異常を認める患者
8. その他、研究責任医師、研究分担医師が不適切と判断した場合

1. Inability to communicate lucidly
2. Under 20 or over 80 years old
3. Postero-lateral thoracotomy reaching within 2 cm from the catheter insertion site
4. Inability to observe the paravertebral space under ultrasound
5. Body weight <40 kg
6. Contraindication or allergy to drugs used in this study
7. Pre-existing sensory disturbance of the trunk
8. Patients who are regarded ineligible by researchers with any other reasons
