日本語
ピボキシル基含有抗菌剤は、長期使用において低カルニチン血症誘発性低血糖が発症する可能性が示唆されている。最近、添付文書にもその旨が記載された。今まで、長期（数週間～数か月）で生じるとされていたが、最短2日間の投与でも低カルニチン血症を発症する症例が報告されており、その発現時期や原因については不明である。「2012年4月のPMDAからの医薬品適正使用のお願い」（参考資料）によると、0-5歳の間で特に発生頻度が高いため、この年齢におけるモニタリングが必要となってくる。本研究は、尿中、血中カルニチン及びアシルカルニチン濃度の測定を行うことにより、尿中と血中のカルニチン、アシルカルニチンの濃度推移の関連を精査し、ピボキシル基含有抗菌剤投与開始早期における低血糖の予測可能な因子の抽出を行う。

The antibiotic containing pivoxyl group may cause hypoglycemia with hyper carnitinemia in long use of it. It is need for monitoring of it at the age from 0 to 5 years-old. This study investigates the transition of the urine and serum concentration of carnine and acyl-carnibitine and search of the useful factor for early prediction of hypoglycemia in use of antibiotic containing pivoxyl group.

咽頭・喉頭炎、扁桃炎、気管支炎などの適応症に対し、ピボキシル基含有抗菌剤（セフジトレンピボキシルまたはセフカペンピボキシル）を処方された0-5歳の小児患者のうち、文書による同意を取得した者。
