１．高齢者のEOLケアに関する講義・演習を含む2日間の教育プログラムが看護職のEOLケアへの態度・知識に及ぼす効果を明らかにすること。
２．高齢者のEnd-of-Life ケアへの看護師の態度・知識尺度による調査が看護職のEOLケアへの態度・知識に及ぼす効果を明らかにすること。
３．高齢者のEOLケアに関する教育プログラム群と尺度への回答群を比較したとき、その教育効果の違いを明らかにすること。

1.教育プログラム群
地域で高齢者にEOLケアを提供している看護職でELNEC-JGの開催通知を見てELNEC-JGに関心を持ち、受講を希望した者のうち、本調査に同意の得られた人
2.尺度回答群
高齢者のEOLケアを行う機会が多いと予想される施設（療養病床群有する施設、慢性期疾患をケアする病床を有する施設など）に勤務する看護職で、本調査に同意の得られた者

1.Educational program group
Nurses who meet criteria below;
1) The nurses who take care of older adults with end of life care setting.
2)The nurses who are interested in ELNEC-JG by seeing the advertisement of ELNEC-JG.
3)The nurses who agreed to participate on this research.
1.Questionnaire group
Nurses who meet criteria below;
1) The nurses who work in facilities which provide end-of life care for older adults frequently such as, hospitals which have a long term care ward and chronic care ward.
2)The nurses who agreed to participate on this research.

各アウトカム測定時点での教育プログラム群(以下介入群）と尺度解答群（以下対照群）は各アウトカムに影響を与える要因の項目を調整し、共分散分析を行った結果、介入群と対照群のベースラインから3か月時点（推定平均の差=7.33; p=0.004）、6か月時点（推定平均値の差=5.77; p=0.04）の態度尺度得点の変化量は介入群が対象群よりも有意に多かった。介入群と対照群のベースラインから3か月時点の知識尺度得点の変化量は介入群が対象群よりも有意に多かった（推定平均値の差=5.74; p<0.001）。

The change in mean value of the attitude scale from baseline to 3 months (differences in the groups' attitude scores = 7.33; p = .004) and 6 months (differences in groups' attitude scores = 5.77; p = .044) was greater in the intervention group. Moreover, the mean knowledge scale score change from baseline to 3 months was greater in the intervention group (differences in groups' knowledge scores = 5.74; p < .001). There was no evidence of a change in this score between baseline and 6 months.

参加者の流れ/Participant flow

介入群において、164名が本研究への参加に同意し、調査票の解答および2日間のELNEC-JGに参加した（回収率1000%）。そのうち121名が6か月間調査票の返信があった（回収率73.8%）。対照群においては、306名に調査票を配布し、174名より返信及び調査への同意があった（回収率56.9%）。うち、141名が6か月間調査票の返信があった（回収率46.1%）。このうち、欠損値のなかった介入群71名（回収率43.3%）と、対照群71名（回収率23.2%）を分析対象とした。ベースラインからの脱落者は介入群で91名（脱落率56.7%）、対照群で103名（脱落率59.2%）であった。

In the intervention group, the questionnaire was distributed to 164 people, all of whom provided written consent and returned the questionnaire (100% response rate), and took the programme, with 121 responding through 6 months postintervention (73.8% response rate). In the control group, a total of 306 questionnaires were distributed to nine institutions providing EOL care; 174 respondents (56.9% response rate) provided written consent and returned the survey, while 141 respondents (46.1% response rate) responded through 6 months postsurvey. The analysis included 71 subjects with no missing values (43.3% response rate) and 71 controls (23. 2% response rate). The number of dropouts from baseline to analysis was 91 in the intervention group (56.7% dropout rate) and 103 in the
control group (59.2% dropout rate).
