日本語
ポジティブ心理学への期待が高まるにつれて、幸福を追求することが多くの人々にとっての目標であることが明らかになってきた。またWHO（世界保健機関）も幸福感が健康における重要な構成要素であることをさらに強調している。そのような流れの中、眼科学からの幸福度研究というアプローチで、日本においてもドライアイと主観的幸福度の関係性、また白内障手術前後における患者の主観的幸福度の考察等の研究が行われ始めた。日本における白内障術後の主観的幸福度は術後の幸福度は一旦は高まるものの、1年後には元にもどる傾向が見受けられた。今回、フィリピン共和国メトロ・マニラ マカティ市で白内障術前後の主観的幸福度を考察する。将来的に白内障をはじめとした眼科医療が人々の幸福度やクオリティーオブライフ（生活の質）にどのような関連性があるのか明らかにしたい。

As positive psychology has revealed that happiness is the ultimate goal for many people, World Health Organization (WHO) also put an emphasis on the importance of happiness as a critical component of health. As this trend, new studies relating to happiness has started to be conducted in the field of ophthalmology, too such as the study of the relationship between subjective happiness with dry eye syndrome and happiness with cataract surgery in Japan. In the study of happiness with cataract surgery conducted in Japan, it was observed that subjective happiness was increased at one point after cataract surgery, but it went back to the set point in a year. Here in the Philippines, we are going to conduct a survey of patients' subjective happiness before and after cataract surgery. This survey will serve as the future's indication of the relationship between ophthalmologic medication and people's happiness and quality of life.

2) 説明同意文書（英文）にて同意の得られる者
3) 英語が理解でき、質問紙に回答ができる者
4) 調査協力が可能な状態であることを担当医師が判断する者

2) Persons who can make agreement
3) Persons who can understand and answer the questionnaires in English
4) Persons who cannot be in the healthy condition according to their doctors

研究デザインは観察前向き縦断研究、対象者の募集方法は2016年3月からPeregrine Eye and Laser Instituteにて白内障手術を受けにきた患者で選択基準に合致した全員。測定する項目はSubjective Happiness Score の点数、The National Eye Institute 25-Item Visual Function Questionnaire（VFQ-25）の点数、視力、カルテ調査、手術満足度。

The study design is prospective longitudinal observational study. Those who will have cataract surgery at Peregrine Eye Laser Institute since March 2016 and meet the study criteria, will be recruited as participants.The outcome measures are Subjective Happiness Scale, the National Eye Institute 25-Item Visual Function Questionnaire(VFQ-25), medical record (Date, Sex, Age, Naked eye, Subjective refraction, Corrected visual acuity, Type of lens), and satisfaction with the cataract surgery.
