本研究の目的は、MCI高齢者を対象に1）マルチタスクとシングルタスクとの介入効果の違いを身体機能面、脳血流量の賦活面から比較すること。2）介入の違いにより、前頭葉機能に与える影響を検討すること。3)介入の違いから脳血流量の活性の持続と、持続された活性が両側前頭葉機能に与える影響と脳内神経ネットワークへの関連の違いを検討することであった。

The prefrontal cortex (PFC) is involved in executive function, and recent neuroimaging studies indicate that elderly individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) show attenuated functional connectivity between the PFC and various brain regions. Here, we tested the hypothesis that performing a rhythmic physical task accompanied by a cognitive task, such as multitask movement music therapy (MMT) involving repetitive rhythmic movement with a musical instrument (the Naruko clapper), may improve PFC functions and cognitive performance. Thus, in elderly individuals with MCI, we assessed the effects of such MMT intervention on the activation of and blood flow in the frontal lobe and compared it with the effects of a non-rhythmic exercise routine without accompanying music or use of the Naruko clapper (single-task training [STT])

1)脳内血流量測定介入群、
　対照群の介入前後の近赤外線効能機能イメージング装　置(fNIRS)による脳内血流量測定
調査期間は、2014年7月から10月までの全14週間であった。
全教室介入開始前と介入終了時に基本属性、身体的指標、FAB検査を、第1回目、第12回目に脳血流量の測定（fNIRSでの測定）を行った

MMTプログラムは、はじめに準備運動として、音楽に合わせた軽体操を約8分、つぎに転倒予防のための下肢筋力アップ体操は、下肢筋力を強化させるための体操として、BGMつきで約30分間行う。つぎに鳴子を使用するMMTは、鳴子を鳴らしながら、福井県民になじみのある「YOSAKOI イッチョライ音頭」に振りをつけたものと、その他、「365歩のマーチ」「函館のひと」などのなじみの曲に鳴子で振りを付けたものを行う。最後にリラックス体操とBGMつきの腹式呼吸やマッサージを取り入れ終了する。

In the MMT intervention group,each MMT session started with a 30min warm-up exercise consisting of about 8 min of light exercise tailored to the BGM. The next 30 min involved exercises to the BGM that aimed to strengthen the leg muscles for fall prevention. This was followed by MMT using the Naruko clapper for 30 min to accompan "Yosakoi Icchorai Ondo", a song familiar to residents of Fukui Prefecture.Other familiar songs, such as the"365 Step March"and the"Hakodatenohito",were also used in the MMT group. The session ended with relaxation exercises as well as deep breathing and massage to accompanying BGM.

自治体の実施する2014年度介護予防教室に参加希望してきた人で、介護予防チェックリスト項目の認知機能チェック項目（健忘性チェック項目）に1つ以上チェックがあった参加希望者45名を会場別に介入群と対照群に設定した.

Participants were those who voluntary took part in the 2014 preventive care class provided by the municipality of Eiheiji Town in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. They completed a preventive care checklist that focuses on memory impairment, which was constructed with reference to the definition of MCI.
