1,治療前血小板数や血小板・リンパ球比の予後に関する研究
２、ハザード比とその９５％信頼区間が示されている、あるいは、計算可能なデータを得られること。
３、研究対象の組織型が扁平上皮癌であること

(1) studies reporting the prognostic impact of pretreatment PC or PLR in peripheral blood in head and neck cancer, (2) studies where the hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (CI) or p-value for overall survival (OS) and disease-specific survival (DSS) were available, (3) the histological type of the tumors was considered to be predominantly squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

１、人間以外の動物を扱った研究や英語以外の言語で発表された研究
２、甲状腺癌や上咽頭癌を対象とした研究
３、唾液腺癌、鼻副鼻腔癌を対象とした研究で扁平上皮癌と非扁平上皮癌が混在して解析されている研究

(1) nonhuman studies and those in languages other than English, (2) studies focusing on thyroid cancer or nasopharyngeal cancer, (3) studies focusing on salivary gland cancer or nasal and paranasal cancer where SCC and non-SCC were analyzed together.
