あん摩施術を継続的に受けることで、自閉症スペクトラム症の人の身体と気分にどのような変化が生じるか、また、自閉症スペクトラム症に特徴的なコミュニケーション上の課題が改善されるかについて検討することを本研究の目的とする。

The objectives of this study are to explore whether continual Anma massage therapy sessions for adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can improve their physical condition, mood, and social skills, including ASD-pathognomonic communication problems.

日本語
20分間の全身あん摩マッサージ（顔、胸、腹は除く）を毎週1回、8週間（合計8回）実施する。
日本式マッサージ（あん摩施術）を
着衣の上から痛みのない軽微で心地よい刺激で行う。術者は自分の手が絶えず対象の体に密着していることを自覚しながら施術する。さらに穏やかで柔らかく優しい声かけにより対象に力加減と施術部位を意識させながら進める。施術は日本の国家資格であるあん摩マッサージ指圧師免許を持つ者が行う。

A 20-min whole-body Japanese Anma massage session (excluding face, breasts, and abdomen) was administered once a week for 2 months (8 sessions total). Anma massage therapy is a form of Japanese massage therapy that is performed by comfortable stimulation without pain through the clothing. During a massage, the therapist remains aware that their hands are in close contact with the massage recipient's body. Additionally, the therapist speaks in a soft voice and informs the massage recipient to recognize what part of the body is touched/pressed/kneaded and how strongly.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

(1) 心身に疾患を抱えていて医師の経過観察下、治療下にある人。
(2) 現在、あん摩マッサージ指圧師によるマッサージ治療を受けている人。
