16名の分析を行った。
湯の色別にみた手浴前後の比較
1)脈拍数の前後比較
無色群の実施前の平均値は63.0回/分、実施後の平均値は60.1回/分であり、実施前後の差（前－後）の平均は2.9回であった。また、有色群の実施前の平均値は76.2回/分、実施後の平均値は67.0回/分であり、実施前後の差（前－後）の平均は9.2回であった。有色群の方が有意に脈拍数の減少があった。（ｐ<0.001）
2)その他の前後比較
血圧、唾液アミラーゼ、VAS値は湯の色別で有意差は認められなかった。

参加者背景/Baseline Characteristics

研究は同意の得られたA大学に在籍する女子学生を対象として実施した。年齢は全体では21.8±1.8歳、無色群では21.5±0.8歳、有色群では22.0±2.2歳であり、各群で年齢の有意差は認められなかった。対象者はいずれも手に傷や肌トラブルがなく、心臓疾患などがなく日常的に健康であった。当初17名を対象として実施したが、うち1名が除外基準に当てはまることが後に判明したため、16名で分析を行った。
