選択基準/Key inclusion criteria

日本語
高齢者群：1）65歳から79歳、2）屋外を独歩で移動でき日常生活に介助が必要ない、3）現在治療が必要な神経学的あるいは整形外科的疾患を有さないこと。
若年者群：神経学的あるいは整形外科的疾患を有さないこと。

Inclusion criteria for the older group were as follows: between 65 and 79 years of age; able to walk outdoors and perform daily activities without assistance or assistive devices; and not have neurological or orthopedic impairments that require current treatment. Inclusion criteria for the younger group were free of neurological or orthopedic impairments.

主な結果/Results

日本語
有効支持基底面の面積は若年者群よりも高齢者群で有意に狭かった。8つの姿勢保持限界点は全て高齢者群で制限されていた。しかし、ある方向の姿勢保持限界点と逆方向の姿勢保持限界点の間には、狭小化の程度に有意な相関関係は認められなかった。

The total area of functional base of support was significantly smaller in older group than in younger group. The eight stability limits were all significantly reduced in older group. However, among older participants, no significant correlations were found between the degree of reduction in the limit of stability in a certain direction and that in the opposite direction.

8つの姿勢保持限界点は若年者群よりも高齢者群でいずれも制限されており、有効支持基底面の面積は若年者群よりも高齢者群で有意に狭かった。しかし、高齢者における姿勢保持限界点の狭小化には方向特異性が認められた。
