唾液からストレスマーカー（α-アミラーゼ，コルチゾール，クロモグラニンＡ、IgAなど）を分析しストレスを把握し、そこから非侵襲的なストレス軽減方法を検討する。

緑色光の曝露が静脈内鎮静法時の末梢静脈カニューレ（PIC）挿入によるストレス、不安、および痛みを軽減するかどうかを調べた。唾液α-アミラーゼ（sAA）活性と血行動態変化、PIC中のvisual analog scale「不安（VAS-A）と痛み（VAS-P）」を指標とし評価した。
透明グループのsAAレベルは、ベースラインと比較してPIC中に大幅に増加したが、緑色グループでは増加しなかった。
PIC中のVAS-Pスコアの中央値は、緑色のグループの方が透明グループよりも低かった。
緑色光の曝露は為害作用なしにPIC中のストレスと痛みを大幅に軽減した。

This study examined whether green color exposure reduced stress, anxiety, and pain during peripheral intravenous cannulation (PIC). The outcome measures were salivary alpha-amylase (sAA) activity and stress-related hemodynamic changes, and the visual analog scale anxiety (VAS-A) and pain (VAS-P). The sAA in the clear group significantly increased during PIC compared with baseline, but did not increase in the green group. Median VAS-P during PIC were lower in the green than in the clear.
