本研究の目的は、口唇口蓋裂患者・健常者の側貌および正貌顔面写真を用いたアイトラッキング法を行い、各患者の顔貌への注視点解析により、口唇口蓋裂患者と健常者の注視様相の違いを明らかにすることで、口唇口蓋裂患者が他者の視線からうける社会心理的な影響を検証することを目的とする

被験者は、東京医科歯科大学医学部・歯学部附属病院に所属するもの、または東京医科歯科大学医学部・歯学部の学生であり、被験者は学内に掲示された公募案内により、実験の趣旨を理解し、実験参加に同意し、自由意思によって応募してきたものとする。
被験者は、それぞれの立場関係から本研究への参加を断りにくくないよう、すなわち強制的に被験者とならしめないように充分に配慮する。

口唇口蓋裂・神経疾患を有す者
顎変形症等により外科手術を伴う矯正手術を受けている者
カラーコンタクトレンズを着用する者でそれらを変更出来ない者

＜選定方針＞
　被験者は、東京医科歯科大学医学部・歯学部附属病院に所属するもの、または東京医科歯科大学医学部・歯学部の学生であり、被験者は学内に掲示された公募案内により、実験の趣旨を理解し、実験参加に同意し、自由意思によって応募してきたものとする。
被験者は、それぞれの立場関係から本研究への参加を断りにくくないよう、すなわち強制的に被験者とならしめないように充分に配慮する。
　また被験者の選定は、アイトラッキングを用い顔貌への注視点解析を行っている多くの過去の報告との比較を可能にするために、被験者の予定数・性別・年齢・除外対象を下記のように定めた。
・予定数：50人
・性別：性別は問わない
・年齢：20歳以上
