本研究の目的は，うつ病のリスクファクターである損害回避得点の高い大学1年生に対して集団認知行動療法がうつ病の予防に効果があるのかを検討することである。

CloningerによるTemperament and Character InventoryにおけるHarm avoidance (HA) は，うつ病の危険因子である。HAの高い大学生を対象に集団認知行動療法を行った結果，介入群では介入後6ヶ月の時点で，対照群よりも抑うつの指標であるBDI-IIスコアが有意に低下していた。

Harm avoidance (HA) on Cloninger's Temperament and Character Inventory is a risk factor for depression. After group cognitive behavioral therapy was conducted with university students with high HA, the intervention group showed significantly lower BDI-II scores, a measure of depression, than the control group at 6 months after the intervention.

Japanese university students with a Harm Avoidance (HA) score of 77 or higher were invited to participate in group cognitive behavioral therapy for the prevention of depression. After obtaining written informed consent, 123 participants were randomly assigned to the intervention group (N = 62) or control group (N = 61).
