本研究は，①日本の乳幼児と母親の腸内細菌叢のデータベースを作成し，②菌叢クラスター形成に影響する要因を特定する．また，③菌叢と身体生理，認知，行動特性との関連を検証し，④乳幼児の身体・精神の健康改善と発達支援，および親に対する育児支援サービスを開発する，ことを目的とする．

This study aims to explore following four points. (1) create the database about intestinal bacterial flora of infants and their mothers in Japan. (2) identify factors that influence the intestinal microbial patterns. (3) examine the relationship between the intestinal bacterial flora, psychophysiological characteristics and cognitive and behavioral development. (4) design services that support the improvement of physical and mental health for infants and their mothers.

腸内細菌叢の多様性や細菌叢パターンに影響する要因を特定するために，下記の項目について腸内細菌叢との関連を検討する
（１）生活習慣（食習慣，睡眠リズム，運動習慣など）
（２）身体特性（アレルギー，風邪のひきやすさなど）
（３）養育者の心理的特性（ストレス，抑うつ傾向など）
（４）乳幼児の行動特性（気質傾向など）

We will examine the relationship between the following items and intestinal bacterial flora in order to identify factors that influence the variety and pattern of intestinal bacterial flora.
(1)lifestyle habit (e.g., food habits, sleep schedule, exercise habits)
(2)physical characteristics (e.g., allergy, susceptibility to cold viruses)
(3)psychological traits of mothers (e.g., stress, depressive tendency)
(4)infant behavioral characteristics (e.g., temperament)

本研究グループと連携のある日本の保育園・こども園・幼稚園に通う健康な乳幼児とその養育者（母親）．また，日本国籍かつ日本での居住がメインである方．

Healthy caregivers (mothers) and their infants who attend nursery schools, daycare, or kindergartens in Japan. These institutions are in cooperation with this research group.
Those who have Japanese nationality and mainly live in Japan.

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
精神疾患や身体疾患により通院している養育者および染色体異常を有するなど重度の発達障害のリスクを有する乳幼児．日本語で研究内容の理解や質問紙に回答できない養育者．

Caregivers (mothers) who attend the hospital for mental or physical diseases and infants at risk for severe developmental disorders such as chromosome abnormality. Caregivers (mothers) who cannot understand the research contents or answer questionnaires in Japanese.

<対象者の募集方法>
明和研究室と連携のある日本の保育園・こども園・幼稚園を通じて研究対象者を募集する．研究内容に関する説明文書を読み，養育者の自由意志に基づき研究協力に同意した養育者（母親）と乳幼児（2ヶ月から就学前（6歳））を対象とする．

<method for recruiting participants>
We will recruit participants through nursery schools, daycare, or kindergartens in Japan. These institutions are in cooperation with this research group. This study targets caregivers (mothers) and their infants from 2 months to preschool (6 years old) who read the explanatory leaflet about this study and provide caregivers' voluntary written consent for participation in this study.
