条件は、①初めて親となる日本人男性であること、②胎児は単胎であること、③妊婦及び胎児は正常な経過であること、⑤親となる男性は日常生活に支障をきたすような健康問題を有していないこと、⑥日本語が堪能で、コミュニケーションが可能であること、とした。

本研究は父親役割適応を促す出生前看護介入プログラムの開発に向けた効果検証を目的とした。Mixed-methodの収束デザインを用いた縦断的準実験研究で、介入前後にEPDS、QMI、PSI-SFを収集し群間比較した。出生前後に得た効果的な看護介入は質的帰納的に分析した。結果、対象者は最終的に介入群10組と対照群31組であった。介入効果を群間比較した結果、有意差は認められなかった。しかし全員が介入により自分なりの父親役割行動を具体的かつ実践可能なレベルで考えることができた。

Prenatal nursing program tested for fatherhood role adaptation using mixed-methods. EPDS, QMI, PSI-SF collected pre/post-intervention. No significant difference in intervention effects found in 10 intervention and 31 control groups. Participants' specific consideration of fatherhood role behaviors confirmed goal achievement. 参加者背景/Baseline Characteristics

介入群、対照群ともに、以下の条件をすべて満たし、研究参加について説明を受けた後、研究参加に関して夫婦の同意が得られた第1子出生前の親となる男性とした。条件は、①初めて親となる日本人男性であること、②胎児は単胎であること、③夫婦と胎児は血縁関係があること、④妊婦及び胎児は正常な経過であること、⑤親となる男性は日常生活に支障をきたすような健康問題を有していないこと、⑥夫婦が一緒に生活をしていること、⑦日本語が堪能で、コミュニケーションが可能であることとした。また、夫婦の同意を得て、研究を開始した後でも以下の場合は研究対象者から除外した。基準は、①研究対象者が研究協力辞退を申し出た場合、②研究対象者に健康問題が生じた場合、③妻及び子どもの妊娠・分娩・産褥経過に問題が生じた場合、とした。

Subjects in intervention and control groups were first-time expectant fathers who met all inclusion conditions and who and whose wife provided consent to participate in the study as a couple upon receiving explanation. The conditions were as follows: (1) Japanese first-time expectant father; (2) singleton pregnancy; (3) normal course of pregnancy and the fetus; (4) no health issues that interfere with daily lives of the expectant father; (5) living together; (6) fluency in the Japanese language for communication. Furthermore, even after the study was started upon consent provided by the couple, subjects were excluded if: (1) subjects requested to withdraw; (2) subjects presented health issues; or (3) there were issues with the pregnancy, the delivery, and the postpartum course of the wife or child.

参加者の流れ/Participant flow

研究対象者の抽出は、研究協力施設における選定法、もしくはスノーボールサンプリングにて行った。研究協力施設は4施設であった（3病院、及び１保健センター1施設）。
本研究は、対照群からデータを収集後、介入群のデータを収集した。介入群は、まず看護介入前に、基本情報、EPDS、QMIを収集した。そして看護介入から約1週間後に、半構成的面接法にて具体的になった自分なりの父親役割行動と、父親としての自己像形成につながったと評価した看護介入の内容を調査した。また産後2カ月に対象者の追加基本情報と、EPDS、QMI、PSI-SF、半構成的面接法にて実際に行っている父親役割行動と、父親としての自己像形成につながったと評価した看護介入の内容を調査した。対照群は、妻が妊娠後期にある対象者に、基本情報、QMI、EPDSを収集した。

Study subjects were chosen with a selection method based on participating facilities and snowball sampling method, and explanations and recruitment in the study were conducted during prenatal education offered at the facilities. Four facilities participated in the study.
In the present study, data for a control group were recorded first as the baseline data, and as soon as enough participants was included, we began collecting data for the intervention group. For the control group, we collected basic information, QMI, and EPDS while wives were in the third trimester. At two months after childbirth, we collected additional basic information, EPDS, QMI, and PSI-SF. For the intervention group, basic information, EPDS, and QMI were collected before the nursing intervention. About a week after the nursing intervention, we examined their own paternal activities that were clarified through the nursing intervention and effective prenatal education that led to awareness of such paternal activities through semi-structured interview. At two months after childbirth, additional basic information and EPDS, QMI, and PSI-SF scores were collected. Through the semi-structured interview, we collected information on actual paternal activities and effective prenatal education that led to the ideas of such paternal activities.

産後うつは、本研究では岡野ら ）が作成したエジンバラ産後うつ病自己評価票（Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale、以下EPDS）を用いて測定した。
夫婦関係満足度は、諸井 ）が翻訳した、Norton(1983)が夫婦の関係の良さ（goodness of the relationship）を測定することを目的に作成したQuality Marriage Index（以下QMI）を使用した。
育児ストレスは、Parenting Stress Index Short Form（以下PSI-SF）を用いて測定した。

Postpartum depression in the present study was measured using EPDS prepared by Okano, Murata, et al(1996).
For marital satisfaction, we used the QMI (translated by Moroi (1996) to measure goodness of the relationship.
Parenting stress was measured using the PSI-SF.
