脊椎麻酔施行前に仰臥位と頭低位（15度）でCarotid Corrected Flow Time (FTc)の計測を行う。脊髄くも膜下麻酔は、高比重ブピバカイン溶液とフェンタニルを用いて行う。クリアサイトシステムを使用し、連続的に血圧、一回拍出量、一回拍出量変動の測定を行う。収縮期圧が90mmHg未満または入室時収縮期血圧より20%以上の低下がみられた場合を低血圧と定義し、低血圧がみられた場合はエフェドリンまたはフェニレフリンの投与を行う。
全患者を低血圧群、非低血圧群に分別する。脊椎麻酔導入後低血圧を予測する術前FTc変化値に対するReceiver Operating Characteristic（ROC）曲線を作成する。

Before the induction of spinal anesthesia, carotid corrected flow time (FTc) is measured in supine and head-down (15 degree) position. Spinal anesthesia is performed using hyperbaric bupivacaine and fentanyl. Hemodynamic variables including blood pressure, stroke volume and stroke volume variation are measured using the ClearSight system throughout the study. Hypotension is defined as the followings: systolic blood pressure < 90mmHg or more than 20% decrease in systolic blood pressure from the baseline values. When hypotension occurs, vasoactive agents including ephedrine or phenylephrine are administered.
All subjects are divided into "Hypotension group" or "Non-hypotension group" according to the blood pressure values after spinal anesthesia. Receiver operating characteristic curve of changes in FTc (induced by preoperative position change) is constructed to investigate the predictability for the incidence of hypotension after spinal anesthesia.
