日本語
これまで気管挿管チューブの深さを類推する式が数多く報告されているが、いずれも口角や鼻翼における深さについてのものばかりである。しかし、口腔や鼻腔の解剖は患者によって異なるため、口腔や鼻腔の解剖学的相違により影響されないよう、気管挿管チューブの声帯からの挿入長を求めること適切であると考えられる。本研究の目的は、声帯からの気管挿管チューブ挿入長を求めるための簡便でかつ信頼性の高い計算式を求めることである。

Numerous formulas to predict endotracheal intubation depth at the mouth corner or nasal wing of patients have been reported. However, the oral and nasal cavity anatomies differ among patients. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to derive a simple and reliable formula to predict the ideal endotracheal tube (ETT) insertion depth at the vocal-cord level.

First stage study（観察研究）では、ドイツの心臓小児患者と、日本の心臓および非心臓小児患者が登録された。 Second stage studyでは、日本の小児および成人患者を対象に実施された。

The first-stage retrospective observational study enrolled cardiac paediatric patients in Germany, and cardiac and non-cardiac paediatric patients in Japan. The second-stage study was performed in paediatric and adult patients in Japan to verify the results of the first-stage study.

First-stage studyでは、ドイツ小児心臓センター（ドイツ、ザンクトアウグスティン市）において、2015年1月から2018年3月までの期間に先天性心疾患に対する手術を受けた425名の小児患者、および、2010年4月から2020年3月までの期間に新潟大学医歯学総合病院（日本、新潟市）において先天性心疾患に対する手術を受けた335名の小児患者と非心臓手術を受けた275名の小児患者がエントリーされた。
Second-stage studyでは、2020年4月から2021年5月までの期間に新潟大学医歯学総合病院において、先天性心疾患に対する手術を受けた132名の小児患者、非心臓手術を受けた14名の小児患者、心臓手術もしくは非心臓手術を受けた162名の成人患者がエントリーされた。

The first-stage study enrolled 425 paediatric patients with congenital heart diseases who underwent cardiovascular surgeries between January 2015 and March 2018 at German Paediatric Heart Centre Sankt Augustin (Sankt Augustin, Germany) as well as 335 paediatric patients with congenital heart diseases who underwent cardiovascular surgeries and 275 paediatric patient who underwent non-cardiac paediatric surgeries between April 2010 and March 2020 at Niigata University Medical and Dental Hospital (Niigata, Japan).
A total of 132 paediatric patients with congenital heart diseases who underwent cardiovascular surgery, 14 paediatric patients without congenital heart diseases who underwent non-cardiac surgery, and 162 adult patients who underwent cardiac or non-cardiac surgery between April 2020 and May 2021 at Niigata University Medical and Dental Hospital were enrolled.
