本研究は，日本の養育者（母親）と乳児における腸内細菌叢，自律神経系，精神状態の関連について，発達的変化を検証する．
具体的には，以下(1)(2)(3)の関連が，8ヶ月時点から18ヶ月時点でどのように変化するかを明らかにする．
(1)母子の腸内細菌叢
(2)母子相互作用場面での母子の神経生理データ（自律神経系，ホルモン）から，母子間の同期性や変動パターンの個人差
(3)質問紙や視線計測データで評価される養育者および乳児の心的特性や社会的認知発達

This study examines developmental changes in the relationship between gut microbiota, autonomic nervous system, and social cognitive development in infants and their caregivers (mothers) in Japan.
Specifically, we will clarify how the following associations (1), (2), and (3) change from 8 months to 18 months.
(1) Gut microbiota of mother and child
(2) Individual differences in synchrony and fluctuation patterns between mother and child based on neurophysiological data (autonomic nervous system, hormones) of mother and child during mother-infant interaction.
(3) Psychological characteristics and social cognitive development of caregivers and infants, as assessed by questionnaires and eye tracking data.

We will examine the relationship between the intestinal microbiota and the following variables in order to identify factors related to the physical and mental development of infants.
1 lifestyle habit (e.g., food habit, sleep schedule, exercise habits)
2 physical characteristics (e.g., allergy, susceptibility to cold viruses)
3 psychological traits of mothers (e.g., stress, depressive tendency)
4 infant behavioral characteristics (e.g., temperament)

1. 初産の乳児およびその養育者（母親）
2. 日本国籍かつ日本での居住がメインである方
3. 乳児が8ヶ月時点，18ヶ月時点において，京都大学赤ちゃんラボでの計測と自宅での計測のどちらにも研究協力が可能であること　
4. 成年（18歳以上）の養育者

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
1. 精神疾患や身体疾患により通院している養育者
2. 染色体異常を有するなど重度の発達障害のリスクを有する乳児
3. 日本語で研究内容の理解や質問紙に回答できない養育者

1. caregivers who are in the hospital due to mental or physical illness
2. infants at risk for severe developmental disabilities, such as those with chromosomal abnormalities
3. caregivers who are unable to understand the study or answer the questionnaire in Japanese

<対象者の募集方法>
京都大学赤ちゃん研究員制度および協力施設（e.g., 保育園）等を通じて研究対象者を募集する．研究内容に関する説明文書を読み，養育者の自由意志に基づき研究協力に同意した養育者（母親）と乳児（8ヶ月児）を対象とする．

<method for recruiting participants>
We will recruit research subjects through the Kyoto University Baby Researcher System and cooperating organizations (e.g., nursery schools). This study targets primiparous mother and their infants (8 months old) who read the explanatory leaflet about this study and provide mothers' voluntary written consent for participation in this study.

<measurement item>
1.feces sampling: Once per each caregiver and children
2.autonomic nervous activity by recording heart rate.
