Medicine |
Patients are treated with an intravitreal injection of 1.25 mg bevacizumab (avastin) between 2 and 5 days before trabeculectomy, then treated with trabeculectomy.
Patients are treated with trabeculectomy without an intravitreal injection of bevacizumab (avastin).

Intraocular pressure levels of 22 mmHg or higher.
Patients who have been previously treated with trabeculectomy.
Patients who had been treated with bevacizumab within recent 2 months.
