All patients who underwent colonoscopy for positive immnochemical fecal occult blood test at our hospital in 2011 were enrolled.

The present study demonstrated that PPV of iFOBT for advanced colorectal neoplasm was not affected by ongoing antithrombotic therapy. This finding suggests that there is no need for cessation of antithrombotic drugs before screeining iFOBT. (UEGW 2012 Amsterdam)

We retrospectively assessed the difference in positive predictive value of immunochemical occult blood test between antithrombotic drug takers and not. Subjects are those who underwent colonoscopy in 2011. The data were extracted by medical chart review.
