Narrative objectives1

(1) Central examination/diagnosis necessary for definitive diagnosis are performed for patients suspected to have pediatric hematological malignancies at facilities participating in the JPLSG, and definitive diagnoses are made to appropriately register patients in JPLSG clinical trials carried out in this study.
(2) Examination data at the time of the initial examination and recurrence necessary for disease-specific clinical trials to establish the MRD and explore prognostic factors are obtained.

(3) Information concerning the patients who did not participate in JPLSG clinical trials is collected, and information necessary for the promotion of registration in clinical trials is obtained.
(4) An organized system for sample preservation is devised. The samples to be preserved are stored at the JPLSG sample storage center and contribute to the promotion of research on pediatric hematological malignancies.
(4)-1. Tumor samples left over from central examination/diagnosis are recovered and preserved.
(4)-2. Normal samples are collected and preserved.
(5) Part of the samples are provided with consent to the Biobank Japan (BBJ) as a contribution of the JPLSG to the Program for the Realization of Personalized Medicine by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
