Standing work (SW): Each participant completed a two-phase crossover experimental protocol. During the SW period, subjects were asked to modify their working habits by completing 10 hours of standing work per week. SW period lasted six weeks and were completed successively. To induce SW, stationary high desks were specifically installed at the participants' workplace. Participants in the intervention period shared 16 standing desks located approximately 5-10 m from their usual sedentary desks in an open-space office. The high desks were removed at the end of the SW period.
Control (CONT): During the control (CONT) period subjects were asked to maintain their normal sitting working habits. CONT period also lasted six weeks and were completed successively.
