Patients who met the definition of severe sepsis according to SCCM/ACCP 1992, SCC/ESICM/ACCP/ATS/SIS 2003 and SSCG 2012.

Study design: Prospective cohort study

Patients enrollment method: Following patients are eligible for the study. Patients present to emergency department from January to December 2016 and meet the entry criteria

Measurement variables: DIC score, SOFA score, SIRS score, APACHE score etc.
