Assessment
Primary outcomes We compared the difference a sufficient CC depth ratio (%) with a depth of more than 5 cm between the first cycle and the second to the last cycle.
Key secondary outcomes 1) We compared the difference a CC ratio with an appropriate rate of at least 100/min and less than 120/min (%) between the first cycle and the second to the last cycle.
2) We compared the difference complete recoil rate (%) between the first cycle and the second to the last cycle.

Interventions/Control_1 The participants were randomly divided into 4 groups (A, B, C, and D) according to different CC rest periods (2, 4, 6, and 8 min).
All the participants performed CCs for 30 min with these different rest periods (2, 4, 6, and 8 min).

Key inclusion criteria We recruited the following participants: medical students from the University of Fukui (postgraduate year 1 or 2), residents and nurses from Fukui University Hospital and emergency medical services (EMS) personnel from Fukui City Fire Department.
