1) patients cared by participants of the designated communication training
2) ages of 20 years and more

Key exclusion criteria

1) ages less than 20 years
2) adults without adequate ability to judge.

Results

The total CSA plus score(self-rated)was 77.3 (SD = 6.3) points before the course and 103.2(SD = 40.2) points after the course(t-test, P< 0.001),which was significantly higher than that of the participants(44 valid responses). Cooperators(155 valid responses)scored 93.8(SD = 14.3) points before the course and 94.2(SD = 13.8) points after the course, which was not significantly different(t-test, NS). The PX survey had a small number of valid responses, so we're unable to conduct the planned analysis.

Baseline Characteristics

47 multi-professional medical professionals (physicians, dentists, nurses, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, and dental hygienists) involved in feeding and swallowing rehabilitation

Participant flow

Forty-seven participants in the "Project for Building a Model of Human Resource Development for Practicing Multidisciplinary Cooperation", which has the same purpose as this study, and five collaborators whom the participants considered important for their work, were selected to participate in this study.

We measure patient experience cared by medical staffs who participate in the communication skill training immediately after the training and 6 months after the training, and examine relationship between the communication skill and change in patient experience.
