The subjects divide into high and low groups based on median value of muscle stiffness (2.00 Nm/mm). Then, we stimulate as a below to both group.
In order to cause muscle mechanoreflex, The foot secured to a plate was passively and rapidly rotated around the subject's ankle joint axis.

The major novel findings of the study are: 1) the peak relative changes in HR during SPD were greater in the high muscle stiffness group than in the low muscle stiffness group, 2) there was a significant positive correlation between resistive torque during SPD and muscle stiffness and the individual peak response of HR.

Thirty healthy men were recruited to participate in this study. All subjects were no hypertensive (< 140/90 mmHg), nonsmokers, and free of overt cardiovascular disease or diabetes, as assessed by medical history.
