For eyes with retinal disease, an OCT image and a color fundus image can be acquired simultaneously with a commercially available examination device, and these data are used as input of a convolution neural network (CNN) trained previously. Quantitatively confirm the prediction accuracy after new training is done several times with modifing the CNN. In addition, based on the above examination results, we will determine the specifications of the imaging angle of view and resolution of the specialized device, and examine what kind of diagnosis the deep learning for the color image and tomographic image of the fundus is effective.
Efficacy
The approximate image features of the target disease can be known. With regard to retinal measurements, although it is thought that more eye numbers will be needed to grasp the detailed features of each disease,with obtaining well controlled data in OCT and color fundus it will be possible to determine the future development strategy of diagnosis.
