Key inclusion criteria

From 2011 to 2016, 208 patients with confirmed acute aortic syndrome were admitted to the Shizuoka City Shizuoka Hospital. Among them, 57 consecutive patients who were diagnosed with type A IMH and who received medical therapy were retrospectively analyzed. All patients underwent physical and laboratory examinations such as blood testing.

Key exclusion criteria

*The patients who did not met the clinical diagnosis of acute type A IMH.
*Those who were initially treated by invasive treatment like emergent surgery.
*Those who were not treated (e.g. CPAOA) but were diagnosed as acute type A IMH with autopsy or AI.

Other related information

From 2011 to 2016, 57 consecutive patients diagnosed with acute type A IMH who were receiving treatment at Shizuoka City Shizuoka Hospital were retrospectively included. The primary endpoint was a composite of cardiovascular death and operation within 1 year after onset. To evaluate sensitivity and specificity of the risk factors and risk score, we estimated the area under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve.
