The donors and the recipients who received living-donor kidney transplantation at Kyushu University Hospital.

Key exclusion criteria

Patients whose ASA physical status was >=4 or who were deemed inappropriate.

The donor-recipient pairs who received living-donor kidneytransplantation were prospectively enrolled in this study between December 2014 and January 2016.
This study investigated the association of pre-transplant donor and recipient BKV antibody status with the occurrence of post-transplant BKV infection.
