Participants received rational emotive behavioural education programme. The intervention isa 12-session treatment programme designed to decease social anxiety symptoms among school children with stuttering deficit.

Key inclusion criteria

The participants were selected based on the following inclusion criteria: 1) readily available for the study, 2) must be a secondary school student, and 3) being identified by the instrument.

Key exclusion criteria

We also considered that any student who is taking external examination, and currently receiving intervention from others was excluded from the study.

Results

The result showed that there was no significant difference between the participants exposed to rational emotive behavioural education (REBE) and no-contact control groups with regards to sustainable value systems as measured by LVI at the posttest. Additionally, the results showed that REBE is significantly impactful in teaching students sustainable value system at the post treatment and follow-up measures respectively

Baseline Characteristics

Studies showed that unvalued life, moral decadency, and promiscuity life are common among Nigerian secondary schools students and those acts are described unruly, faulting the institutional core values. These acts have led youngsters to cultism, rape, teenage pregnancy, prostitution, sexual harassment drug abuse, and indecent dressing in Nigerian.
