Objectives

Narrative objectives1

In the event of a disaster, there are many events that require immediate action in the operating room. None of them have established the details of how anesthesiologists move and respond to them, and manuals are created and used in individual hospitals. At this hospital, action cards are created in the operating room, and nurses play a central role in educational activities such as evacuation drills, but none of them are anesthesiologists taking the initiative.
Originally, it is ideal to prepare for emergencies by conducting simulations such as evacuation drills to respond to disasters. However, in the absence of imminent threat, it is difficult to force anesthesiologists who are overwhelmed by their daily work to be aware of disasters and organize their knowledge. Therefore, the response capability including the knowledge as an anesthesiologist in an emergency is often determined by individual consciousness and experience. In particular, anesthesiology specialists are often replaced because of training every few months, and because they have little experience as anesthesiologists, when it comes to disaster countermeasures at this hospital, sufficient knowledge of basic matters such as evacuation routes is also available. It is highly likely that you do not have one.
In this study, by repeatedly confirming in a one-question-answer format the knowledge and necessary response items for a disaster based on the action card of our operating room in the anesthesiology department, the ability to respond to the disaster and Evaluate whether improvement of knowledge is recognized by pre-intervention comparative test.
