SPECT (Single photon emission computed tomography) (initial image) imaged within 1 hour of administration of 123I-Iofetamine (123I-IOF: iophetamine) gives an accumulation distribution according to the cerebral blood flow, but the accumulation distribution changes over time. Therefore, the SPECT (late phase image) imaged 3 hours after the administration shows an accumulation distribution different from the initial image. Vd (distribution volume) image is obtained from the time series analysis of the initial image and the late image. Vd images are considered to be related to the distribution of catecholamines in the brain, and we will use Vd images to examine the relationship between catecholamine distribution and the prognosis of cerebrovascular disorders.
