Results

Our meta-analysis showed that non-survivor group had lower platelet count compared to survivor group (SMD=-0.71 [95% CI: -1.01 to -0.41], p<0.001; OR=3.89 [95%CI: 1.71 to 8.85], p=0.001); prolong PT (SMD=0.89 [95%CI: 0.35 to 1.43], p=0.001; OR=2.49 [95%CI: 1.00 to 6.20], p=0.05); prolong aPTT (SMD=0.33 [95%CI: -0.10 to 0.75], p=0.13); and increased INR (SMD=2.21 [95%CI: 0.10 to 4.31], p=0.04).

Other

Other related information

We perform this meta-analysis aims to determine the evidence-based relationship of Coagulation profiles with mortality in COVID-19 patients

A systematic search of all observational studies or trials that involving adult patients with COVID-19 that had any data of Coagulation profiles (fibrinogen, fibrin degradation product, anti-thrombin, thrombin time, aPTT, PT, D-dimer, Platelet, INR) on admission for comparison survivor vs non-survivor was carried out using the PubMed, Science Direct and MedRxiv databases. Two authors independently assessed the methodological quality using the NIH quality assessment to evaluate the quality of evidence. We performed random-effects inverse-variance weighted meta-analysis of Coagulation profiles values using RevMan 5.4. Manager (RevMan v5.4 2020) and Stata v.16
