呼気NO測定は喘息の気道炎症のマーカーとして有用とされるが、測定される呼気は下気道の成分のみならず口腔内の成分も含まれてくる。喘息患者における口腔内ケアの呼気NO値に及ぼす影響を検討した。

The FeNO is widely measured as an indicator of bronchial inflammation in asthmatic patients. However, FeNO is not a pure reflection of lower airway NO production since No is produced also in the oral cavity. We evaluated the influence of oral care on the measurement of FeNO in patients with asthma.

喘息患者の外来受信時に、口腔ケア前後のFeNOを測定する。口腔ケアは3分の歯磨きとその後の水うがいで行なう。

At the visit to the out-patient department, FeNO is measured before and after the oral care with three minutes teeth brushing followed by gargling with water.

NIOX-MINOで適切にFeNOを測定できるもの。
文書による同意が得られたもの。

Asthmatic patients who can properly handle the NIOX-MINO, the FeNO analizer.
Those who agree to give written informed consent to the study.
