1) 当院手術室において、局所麻酔下に眼科予定手術をうける患者
2) 午後の入室が予定されており、手術当日に朝食を摂取予定である

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

１）術前の絶食の理解・協力がえられない
２）明らかな胃通過障害がある
３）経口摂取が不可能である
４）誤嚥性肺炎の既往がある
５）妊娠中である
６）手術中に鎮静を行う可能性が高い
７）超音波検査に対する協力がえられない

当院に入院し手術室にて局所麻酔下眼科手術を受け研究除外項目に合致せず、研究同意の得られた成人患者を対象とする。前向きコホート研究である。手術当日、朝食摂取後は、手術入室まで絶食。飲水は手術入室2時間前まで可能とする。
手術室に入室後、腹部超音波検査を行い、胃前庭部断面積（主要パラメータ）を測定する。絶食時間と主要パラメータの関連性を評価し、胃内用排出時間を推定する。合併症として糖尿病がある患者、80歳以上の高齢者に関して、胃内用排出時間が延長するかサブグループ解析を行う。

This is a prospective Cohort study exploring gastric emptying time determined by residual gastric contents and fasting time in patients scheduled for elective opthalamologic surgery under local anesthesia.
Patients is asked to fast solid meal after morning meal, but allows to drink clear fluid until 2 hours before operation. Immediately before the operation, abdominal ultrasound is performed to measure cross sectional area of antrum in the lateral position.
Subgroup analyses are planned for patients with diabetes mellitus and for patients over 80 years old.
