本来の下顎頭の位置とは異なる咬合、つまり前方位に偏位している習慣性の咬合を一度リセットし、習慣性の咬合位を一度解除することで、術後の咬合の安定性を図ることを目的にしています。

主要アウトカム評価項目/Primary outcomes

本研究では対照群として従来の方法（術前のスプリントの使用をしない）を実施した手術症例の匿名化された情報にされたデータ（X 線写真、CT 撮影、臨床所見（口腔内写真、顔貌写真など）など）を使用する。具体的には、手術で移動した顎骨の術後の安定性をみるために、X 線写真をトレースして時系列で本研究の症例群と従来の方法で行った症例のデータの対照群と比較検討します。
