ウシの受精卵の培養において、個別培養では10%以下の受精卵子しか胚盤胞期へ発生しないが、集団培養を行うと胚盤胞への発生率は25-35%へと改善する。この受精卵の発生率改善はマウス、猫、ヒトといった他の動物種においても同様の現象が認められている。集団培養により受精卵の発生率が改善するのは主に受精卵から分泌される増殖因子などが受精卵自身に、あるいは、共に培養している他の受精卵に対して働きかけているからと考えられる。

In bovine, less than 10% of the embryos developed to the blastocyst stage when embryos are cultured individually, however when the embryos are cultured in groups, 25-35% of the embryos developed to the blastocysts. This tendency, i.e. improved embryo development in group culture, has also been demonstrated in other mammalian species, such as mouse, cat and human. The main reason for this beneficial outcome of group culture has been ascribed to the presence of growth factors, which are secreted by preimplantation embryos that act upon the embryo itself or the neighboring embryos.

主要アウトカム評価項目/Primary outcomes

採卵3日目、5-7日目に得られた胚をVeeck分類、Gardner分類により評価し、WOW dishによる集団培養群と単一ドロップ培養群で胚盤胞の割合および良好胚盤胞の割合を比較する。

Using Veeck criteria for classification for cleaved embryos on day-3 and Gardner criteria for classification for blastocysts on day-5, 6 and 7, we compare the rates of the blastocyst development and good quality blastocyst development between WOW group and control group.

選択基準/Key inclusion criteria

体外受精を施行する不妊女性患者のうち媒精、および顕微授精により正常受精卵3個以上で全て胚盤胞培養をした症例

Patients whose embryos were fertilized by Conventional IVF/ICSI
Patients who had at least 3 fertilized oocytes (2PN)
Patients whose whole 2PN embryos were cultured to the blastocyst stage

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
(1)染色体検査で前もって異常を指摘されている患者
(2)夫が無精子症など重篤な男性不妊原因で精巣内精子、精巣上体精子、凍結精子を使用する場合
(3)重篤な内臓疾患（※内臓機能についての具体的な記載が望ましい。）がある患者
(4)その他医師・研究者が被験者として適当でないと判断した患者。

Patients who were pointed out that there were an abnormality in the chromosome analysis.
Patients who had severely male factor and had to use testicular, epididymis and frozen sperm.
Patients who had a severe disease of internal organ.
Patients who were decided to be unsuitable for this study by doctors and researchers.
