ケア提供者が認知症の人の行動心理症状の評価を行い、その指標をふまえて日々の過ごし方のプログラム（ケア計画，例：基本的な接し方、運動、静かな環境づくり、マッサージ、音楽などの活動とその頻度など）を作成する。ケア計画に基づいたプログラムを実行し、行動心理症状を再評価する。

A professional caregiver evaluates frequency and severity of challenging behavior of a person with dementia. Based on the measurement, the caregiver establishes a care plan of daily program that includes contents and frequency of basic communication approach, physical activity, calm environment, massage, music/song, and so on. The caregiver implements the program according to the care plan, and re-evaluates the challenging behavior.
