運動が血圧や動脈硬化といった生活習慣病に与えるよい影響を検討するため血管内皮細胞の機能と密接に関係する一酸化窒素（NO）に焦点を充て検討した。

運動負荷機器を用いた自転車運動を、毎日1時間ずつ週５日間、４週間（計20時間）の実施。
運動強度は最大酸素摂取量の60%を目安とした中程度の運動
