研究者はヘルスビリーフモデルと改訂版ヘルスプロモーションモデルに基づいた糖尿病予防教育プログラムを実施した。介入群では、若年成人期の特性に合わせた6つのオリジナルに作成したパンフレットと動画を配布した。教育期間は6週間であった。

Researchers provided diabetes prevention education program that is based on the Health Belief Model and the Revised Health Promotion Model. The intervention group received 6 original brochers and movies appropriate for young adults. The education period was 6 weeks.

主な結果/Results

日本語
対象者311名(介入群154名、対照群157名)に対し、調査を実施した。全調査を修了した者は介入群129名(83.1%)、対照群141名(89.8%)。
糖尿病予防に関する知識を問う全項目において、介入群が対照群と比較し、有意な知識の向上を確認した(p<0.05)。
糖尿病への身近さの認識の変化では、介入群は対照群に比べて、有意に糖尿病を身近に捉える結果となった(p=0.029)。
介入群は、対照群に比べて有意に食行動が改善した(p<0.050)。行動変容段階においても同様に、介入群は対照群に比べて食習慣の有意な改善が確認された(p=0.042)。

We investgage for 311 participants, and finaly 129 interventions and 141 controls completed the trial. The intervention group recognized that their knowledge about diabetes prevention had increased (p<0.05) compared with the controls.The recognition of their susceptibility to diabetes of intervention group increased (p=0.029) compared with the controls. Regarding dietary behavior and the level of dietary behavior change, the intervention group improved more than the controls (p<0.05).

研究開始前に研究に関する説明文で説明し、質問紙の返信をもって参加への同意を得た。介入の媒体は介入群として選出した対象すべてに配布した。匿名性を確保するために、研究に使用するすべての質問紙を一つのファイルにまとめ、それを一人一人の対象者に渡した、ファイル及びファイル内の質問紙にはそれぞれIDを付与し、ファイルは職場で管理した。アンケート記入時期に対象者に記入を促すアナウンスを行い、対象者自らが自身のファイルからアンケートを取り出し、記入し返送した。ベースライン調査は2016年11月に行い、介入終了後のアンケートは2回実施した（2017年2月,3月）。対象群の事後アンケートは1回で調査した（2017年3月）。

Participants were informed about this study in writing before the start of this study. The intervention media was distributed for all participants of an intervention group. Consent for participation was assumed by return of questionnaires. In order to maintain anonymity of participants, we distributed the multiple questionnaires inside a folder that was marked with a coded ID for each participant that was kept at the workplace. At designated times, we sent all participants a prompt to retrieve the appropriate questionnaire from their folder, respond, and return to us. Baseline data was collected in November 2016. Distribution of educational media to the intervention group was implemented over the six week period extending from January to February 2017. For the intervention group, questionnaires were collected twice, at the end of intervention and 4 weeks later (at the ends of February and March 2017), whereas data collection from the control group was only performed one time (at the end of March 2017).
