目的1/Narrative objectives1

日本語
本研究の目的は、カテキン摂取後の血漿カテキン濃度についての予備的なゲノムワイド関連解析により、血漿カテキン濃度の個人差の要因の研究である。健康日本人成人を対象とし、カテキン1,000 mg の単回摂取1時間後の血漿カテキン濃度の測定を行い、カテキン摂取後の血漿カテキン濃度が高い方（hyper-responder）および低い方（hypo-responder）を選抜する。Hyper-responderとhypo-responderとでゲノムワイド関連解析を行い、血漿カテキン上昇能の個人差に関連するSNPを見出す。

The aim of this study is to investigate the causes of individual differences in plasma catechin concentrations by using a preliminary genome-wide association study of green tea catechin concentration in the plasma after ingestion. First, we examine the plasma catechin concentrations in healthy Japanese individuals. The subjects ingested 1 g of green tea catechins in a fasting state, and their plasma catechin concentration are measured 1 h after ingestion. The subjects are defined in terms of their plasma catechin concentration as follows: hyper-responders and hypo-responders. Second, we conduct a preliminary genome-wide association study of common variants associated with plasma catechin concentration 1 h after ingestion in those responders.

2) カテキン摂取後の血漿カテキン濃度が高い方（hyper-responder）および低い方（hypo-responder）

1) Subjects are competent to consent, keep the rules of the study.
2) We measure plasma catechin concentration in subjects 1 h after ingestion of catechins. The subjects are defined in terms of their plasma catechin concentration as follows: hyper-responders (plasma catechin concentration is more than upper flexion point) and hypo-responders (plasma catechin concentration is less than lower flexion point).
