選択基準/Key inclusion criteria

日本語
胸部食道癌に対する標準治療のうち根治的化学放射線治療を選択し、かつ以下の条件を満たす症例を対象とする
1) 食道原発巣の内視鏡生検にて、組織学的に扁平上皮癌、腺扁平上皮癌、類基底細胞癌と診断されている
2) 食道病変(原発巣、食道壁内転移、上皮内伸展)がすべて胸部食道内(UICC-TNM 第7版)に限局する
3) TNM分類(UICC-TNM 第7版)にて臨床病期cStage I, IIまたはT4bを除くIIIである
4) 登録日の年齢が20歳以上、85歳以下である
5) Performance status (PS)が0または1である
6)　食道癌に対する治療歴がない。ただし、以下のいずれかの場合はその治療歴があっても適格とする
①EMR/ESDで治癒切除が行われpT1a-LPM（M2）以浅であった
②EMR/ESDで治癒切除が行われpT1a-MM（M3）脈管侵襲陰性
7) 他のがん種を含め、化学療法・放射線療法・内分泌療法の既往がない（ただし、前立腺癌でホルモン治療の既往があっても、5年以上の無病期間があれば適格）
8) 臓器機能が保たれている
9) 試験参加について患者本人から文書で同意が得られている

1) Squamous cell carcinoma, adenosquamous cell carcinoma or basaloid carcinoma
2) Resectable disease
3) Clinical stage I, II or III excluding T4b disease (UICC tumor, node, metastasis system TNM classification)
4) Age 20 to 85 years
5) Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of 0 to 1
6) No previous surgery for esophageal cancers
7) No previous chemo- or radiotherapy for any malignancies
8) Sufficient organ function
9) Written informed consent

除外基準/Key exclusion criteria

日本語
1) 活動性の重複癌を有する患者。ここでは、同時性重複癌及び無病期間が5年以内の異時性重複癌をいう。ただし、局所療法により治癒と判断されるCarcinoma in Situは活動性の重複癌には含めない。
2) 精神病または精神症状を合併しており試験への参加が困難な患者
3) 治療の実施に支障を来すと判断される重篤な合併症（膠原病・制御困難の糖尿病）を有する患者
4) 3ヶ月以内の心疾患の既往がある患者、もしくは慢性心不全の患者
5) 3ヶ月以内の重篤な脳血管障害の既往がある患者
6) 活動性の感染症を有する患者
7) 心臓ペースメーカーや体内除細動器を有している患者
8) HBs抗原が陽性の患者
9) 妊娠、授乳婦および妊娠の可能性のある患者
10) その他，臨床試験担当医師が本試験の対象として不適当と判断した患者
