大腿骨近位部骨折術後症例に対する術後翌日からのNMESを併用した膝伸展筋力増強運動は，膝伸展筋力の早期改善および日常生活動作や歩行の早期獲得に寄与し，退院時歩行能力を向上させる．

Training of the quadriceps using NMES from the next day following surgery in postoperative patients with femoral proximal fractures contributed to early improvement in knee extension muscle strength, early acquisition of gait and ADL independence, and improved gait ability at discharge.
