本研究はマスク着用習慣のない人たちにマスクを着用してもらい、その効果を検証することが目的であった。しかし、ベースライン調査が終わり、マスク着用の段階になって、COVID-19が流行した。そのためマスクの着用習慣が現地でも広まり、現地の生活習慣がCOVID-19流行前と同じではなくなったため、現在、介入を見合わせている。このまま大気・室内空気汚染予防の介入（マスク着用）を変更または中止して、ベースラインの乾季と雨季の比較にとどめる可能性がある。

The research will be suspended until international travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic are released and field activities are safe. In addition, the air and indoor air pollution prevention intervention may be modified because the COVID-19 pandemic may have spread the habit of wearing masks, although the original study subjects were people who were not in the habit of wearing masks.
