混合型肝癌(mixed HCC-CC)は組織学的にhepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) と cholangiocarcinoma (CC) の両方の特徴をもつ原発性肝癌である。肝移植前に画像で正確にmixed HCC-CC を診断するのは困難である。 このため多くのmixed HCC-CCはHCCと診断され、肝切除あるいは肝移植が施行されている。肝移植前にHCCと診断され、移植後にCCあるいはmixed HCC-CCが見つかる頻度は0.7%である。 mixed HCC-CCは稀な疾患であるため、臨床病理学的特徴や肝移植後の成績に関する報告はこれまで少ないことから、肝移植の有効性について明らかにするために多施設で症例を集積する事を目的とする。

The clinicopathological characteristics and post-transplant prognosis of mixed HCC-CC have not previously been reported in detail because of its rarity. Considering the favorable outcomes reported for patients with 1 or 2 mixed HCC-CCs 2.0 cm or less, this suggests that patients in the very early stage of mixed HCC-CC may be candidates for LT. Additionally, given that very early mixed HCC-CC demonstrated favorable posttransplant prognosis, less strict follow-up is necessary.
