The main goal of this study is to determine if plasma MR-proADM levels can be used to distinguish between ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes. Patients who have visited the National Cardiovascular Center with suspected strokes will participate in this study, which will be done as a prospective observational study. We also investigate the potential relationship between plasma MR-proADM levels and the neurological prognosis, or the penumbra volume.
Efficacy
Plasma MR-proADM levels to discriminate between ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke
1) Association of plasma MR-proADM levels and diagnosis
2) Association between penumbra volumes and plasma MR-proADM levels in ischemic stroke
3) Association between collateral blood vessel grade and plasma MR-proADM levels
4) Association between plasma MR-proADM levels and prognosis

The research design is a single institution prospective observational study. We will include patients who come to our hospital with suspected stroke. Patients must meet the following criteria and not violate any of the exclusion criteria.
1. Selection Criteria
Patients aged 18 or older with suspected stroke who visited our hospital between October 20, 2023 and March 31, 2025.
2. Exclusion Criteria
Patients, their family members, or other representatives choose not to participate in the study.
Patients whom the principal investigator or research coordinator finds unsuitable for the study.
