In addition to reducing the risk of infection as described above, palliative care using online medical care enables consultation of patients who have difficulty in visiting a hospital (e.g., those with impaired ADL, those living in remote areas, etc.), and is considered a useful means of reducing the mental and physical burden on cancer patients. In this study, we will examine the usefulness of palliative care using online medical care for patients with end-stage gastrointestinal cancer.
